Linky Dinky Roundup is back! I’m starting this monthly(ish) series over (hence the 01 in the subject line) because we’re on Substack now. Let us dive in!

• I promise Adam Green’s Guide to Becoming an Artist is worth the 1-2 minutes it takes to read. (#2 really hit home for me. What number connected with you?)

• Big fan of Tommy Siegel’s Extremely Accurate Birds calendar.

• For really great recs and the ultimate link roundup, I cannot recommend Ngaio Parr’s Some Things newsletter enough. Curation at its finest. This is where I learned that the 2024 calendar year has the same dates as 1940, 1968, and 1996. Enter Ebay one week later. I won an unopened ‘97 Guggenheim Wassily Kandinsky calendar (for $5), only to have a friend point out that it’s actually a 1997 calendar (not 1996) and thus, does not in fact line up with the 2024 dates. (This is a Becky error and Ngaio’s newsletter cannot be held responsible.)

• Big fan of sharing fave soup recipes. I’ve made this one and this one multiple times in the last couple of months. (Thank you, Meera, for the second one.)

• Hey, speaking of Meera! Her recent interview on Creative Pep Talk (ep. 438) “blew my gd mind right open,” as I told her today. Listen to it.

• Not so much a link but an important bullet point to add: I’m looking for a designer to cover for me at Tubby Todd while I’m on maternity leave (btw—I’m pregnant! Here’s proof) from April-August-ish. Must be local to Carlsbad/San Diego area (yes, I live in Nashville but this position must to be in the CA office a couple of days a week).
